 River Ministry
Through our relationships with the pastors on the border, Highland Park has provided help on construction projects in several towns from Laredo to Piedras Negras, run prenatal and family medical clinics, conducted Bible School activities for children, distributed clothing and shoes, and assisted families in the aftermath of flooding in Piedras Negras. We provide ongoing support of the Bethesda Casa Hogar (orphanage) and as other orphanages in Mexico.

As of 2005 we have sponsored more than 12 high school students. Three of those are now in college, another is in seminary and one is a doctor . Since 2003 we have helped Pastor Ruben Juarez convert the missionary training center to a bilingual preschool for 3, 4 and 5 year olds.

One of our mission members in an architect who has provided plans for new sanctuaries and classrooms on both sides of the border.

In 2003 Highland Park’s youth began their summer mission trips to San Isidro, Texas and Miguel Aleman, Mexico. Over 80 church members have participated on these mission trips. More members have supported these efforts through their donations. Over 120 people, doctors, nurses, construction workers and interpreters have joined us on these trips.
